Being able to plan an entire commute according to train AND SUBWAY times. For a veteran of the New York City MTA, this is huge. Huge. Ah, Japan.
Living in Japan and not already hip? www.jorudan.co.jp/english. You’re welcome.

Hey, have you ever tried commuting by train, bus, subway in… Italy? In the best case scenario you arrive 40 min late, tired, sweaty (or freezing, since the aircon is always off) and you probably had sweared several times against everyone (from the guy passing by to the prime minister)..
Trains and subways in Tokyo are great.. but I think the city with the best public transport is Hong Kong.. elegant, extremely cheap, clean and always on time.
