The Last Supper

On your last night of vacation, why not splash out on dinner? Ah, go’wan. Go’wan, go’wan, go’wan.

This is how we do it:

Beef and Guinness pot pie at the Bayview Restaurant, overlooking Killeany Bay.

Crushed meringue with strawberries and Irish cream to finish off.

Now. The shuttle to the landing strip comes at 15:45, the puddle jumper heads to Connemara at 16:15, and the train back to Dublin leaves at 18:05. Packed up and nursing the sudden, violent attack of a head cold. Preparing for one more walk along the pebbly beach at 14:00.

Me, too. Boy, the Irish really do cream right.

  2. We’ll be heading to the Aran Islands in April. I’ll have to try to remember this restaurant for dinner…

Ah, do, Wandermom! They do an excellent seafood chowder, too. I highly recommend Ted Fest – terrific craic!
